How to clean chandeliers, ceiling lights, sconces and home lamps

We just bought a wonderful article to illuminate our home or our office. Whether it is a chandelier with more lights, more arms or with a single light point, it will be cleaned exactly like the rest of the house.

Practical guide to clean the chandelier

Here are some practical tips on how to keep the wrought iron chandeliers clean and always shiny. What do you need? You must have available: bicarbonate or mild detergent, liquid wax and clean cloths.
It is necessary to start cleaning with light off and cold. At this point remove the bulbs and proceed with the cleaning of dust thanks to a soft cloth that does not scratch the surfaces. The cloth may be wet with hot water. For glass parts, a damp cloth or a glass spray is sufficient. As for the wrought iron, you can start with dusting the entire surface to remove dust. You can use a duster, a dry cloth or a brush to remove dust in the narrowest parts or decorations, including curls, metal leaves.

How often do you clean wrought iron lamps?

This first step can be done when it is considered appropriate, it is not invasive. Even once a week can be enough. When you want to make a more thorough cleaning, the elimination of dust can be used bicarbonate or wax to make the chandelier shine.
To do this, we must wet our cloth with baking soda and warm water or a special mild detergent solution and pass it through all the parts of the chandelier; floor lamp, base, arms and decorations. Once dry, you can apply special liquid wax for wrought iron to protect the chandelier and for greater shine. This procedure can be carried out three or four times a year, but obviously depends on the context in which the chandelier is inserted and on the dust to which it is exposed.
